Positron Access History Trail

  • In 1995, Positron Fiber Systems (PFS) introduces the OSIRIS fiber optic add-drop multiplexers. The products are designed and manufactured in Montreal.
  • In November1998, RELTEC, an American corporation, purchases PFS: the OSIRIS name is changed to OSR but the design, development and manufacturing operations remain in Montreal.
  • In April 1999, Marconi, a British corporation, acquires RELTEC: OSR becomes MAS but, again, the product design, development and manufacturing operations remain in Montreal.
  • In June 2002, Marconi discontinues the direct sales of MAS: Positron Technologies becomes the exclusive reseller in the fall of 2002.
  • In March 2003, Positron Technologies acquires the exclusive rights to the MAS product line from Marconi.
  • In April 2003, the Networks Division is formally launched.
  • In February 2006, Aethera Networks is formally launched, and announces Series A financing in June 2006.
  • In December 2007, Aethera Networks ceases operations and returns rights to the OSIRIS platform to Positron Inc.
  • In January 2008, Positron Inc. announces that it will re-assume manufacturing and support of the OSIRIS platform immediately.
